A celebration of speed, FastFest brings you strip action from the fastest vehicles of their
kind — from modified to motorsport.
|
|
|
|
|
The strip is going to be hot, see action from these high-octane vehicles:
|
|
|
|
|
• FORMULA 1 - See this 3.5-litre V10 Jordan in all its glory. With 670
bhp, a top speed of over 200 mph, 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and 0-100 in 5.8
seconds, this will be the first time it has been on drag-tarmac and it will be
an awesome spectacle. Brought to you by The EuroBoss Series.

• 50 TOP SUPERCARS - Candy Run is the sexiest supercar rally in
the world. Bringing together the world’s top supercars including Porsche,
Lamborghini, Ferrari, TVR, Mosler, MCLaren SLR, Ultima GT & Bentley’s

• MODIFIED CARS - On Saturday from 5pm-9pm & all day Sunday
the 1/4-mile strip will be open to all FastFest petrolheads. Bring your
licence with you to battle it out on the strip. Only £20 for unlimited runs on
Saturday and £15 for 3 runs on Sunday. Have a go, beat your mates then
sit back and watch some amazing demos!

• AMERICAN V8 & MUSCLE CARS - For all of you who became
hooked on cars in the ’60s and ’70s we have some superb cars for your
delight. American V8 will show and demo some really fast cars, including
Ray Comer’s street-legal Camaro which boasts being the fastest in
Europe.

• RALLYCROSS CARS - See eight of the best rallycross cars as
they demo on the 1/4-mile. From the home of the 2007 LINGsCARS.com
Rallycross Open Championship this will be the first time they have raced
up the 1/4-mile and will have a variety of exciting machinery on display.

• DRAG BIKES - From top gas super twin world-record holder Jerry
Collier through to Harley Davidson’s top fuel super twin specialist Ian
‘Rush’ Carruthers, we are sure to see the strip come alive to the sound
and speed of these two-wheeled monsters.

• TOTB QUALIFYING - Throughout the weekend, owners of the
fastest modified cars in the country will be battling it out for a place in their
club teams at TOTB 2007. If you’re part of a club and would like to take

• RACING TRUCK & DRAG TRUCK - These 6 tonne racing
beasts, with an 11-litre engine and 1000 bhp can reach speeds of 100
mph and complete the 1/4-mile in 14 seconds. Doesn’t sound that quick,
but compare this with a standard truck. See ‘The Burnout King’ Mat
Summerfield in action, famous for his 1/8th-mile burnouts off the start line,
and Dave Jenkins, the winner of the first-ever Truck Drag Race at the

• DRAG CARS - See the amazing 270 mph jet car in action, the
awesome power of this car makes a fighter jet look like a hang-glider

• SCUMBALL 3000 - Five countries in four days, these crazy dudes
race across Europe in cars costing less than £500. Joining us at
FastFest, they will bring along a TV crew so you can check them out on
Men & Motors.

• PERFORMANCE CLASSICS - Not everything ‘fast’ is modern,
so watch out for those performance cars from the past that can give
modern cars a run for their money.
|
|
• FASTEST NITRO & TURBO STREET BIKES IN THE UK
- See action from the fastest nitro and turbo street bikes in the UK as
FastFest hosts the ‘Big CC Racing Super Street Bike Challenge’.
Amongst the riders will be Jamie Sneddon, Super Street UK champion
with 1/4-mile times of 7.5 seconds, and Graham Dance, four times super
street champion, as well as Sean Mills, owner of the most powerful road-
legal bike in the world at 721 bhp and Steve Venables who holds the record for the fastest
terminal speed at 196 mph. Twelve top riders will compete in a 16-bike qualifier on Saturday
afternoon, with the finals being held on Sunday.

• STAR CARS - Place your bets… our money’s on KITT, but BA
Baracus says, “What you talking about, fool?”

• JUNIOR DRAG BIKES - British Junior Champion Scott Collier
(aged 10) and Jake Carruthers (aged 15) will show us why you’re never
too young to be addicted to speed.
